DPM LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

In it’s commitment to promote quality, safety, through new technologies, DPM (Singapore) Pte Ltd launches its latest e-commerce website to the global maritime industry.

The new DPM website presents a new look in the way chart and publication management services will be rendered to the shipping community by providing a more efficient communication channel.

The website was designed with the latest web-enabled technologies known as the .NET framework.

In addition to general information, the new website features several enhancements such as the online store and the “My Ships” & “My Accounts” menus.

Purchasing has never been this easy. DPM’s online store enables customers to inquire and purchase charts, publications, instruments, digital products etc conveniently. The products on these menus are laid out using StoreFrontTM. A fully integrated search tool has been added for each product menu. For instance, clients can search for a publication specifying the publication type, publisher, ship type and key words to name a few.

Each transaction can be settled and processed simultaneously using an “online payment” gateway system through the use of credit cards. Payments are secured through the use of government level encryption. To prevent fraudulent transactions, the system requires customers to submit a CVV/CVC security code before credit card transactions can be authorized.

As an added convenience to customers, DPM has tied up with some of the world’s leading courier services for product deliveries. Customers can choose from among the list of providers and specify the date and time of delivery of their products.

The My Ships menu enables customers to view and manage their vessels’ charts and publications inventory on board easily. This presents an accurate tracking and inventory management of their vessel's charts and publications on board.

Frequent visitors and regular customers now have the capability to view their saved account information. This includes order history, saved billing and shipping information, mailing list, subscription status, and tracking information for orders currently in process or transit. Visitors who have not yet place an order and do not have an account can also create one from this page.
